Ethics, Values, Respect

Sometimes, you need to be in a bigger place to fully realize how twisted the world is.

I thought that my life before was toxic. Now, without Ethics, Values,or Respect in the environment, everything is much more difficult. Without ethics, values, or respect for others, innocent lambs can turn into vicious wolves. Or something more menacing.

They view truth as ruthless. That may be the case, but you can be truthful without being ruthless. Ruthless as the truth may be, it doesn't give anyone rights not to respect others. It was never proper to talk about someone behind their back.

Be angry at what they do, not because of what they are. What they do can define who they are. Be eager to correct them of any wrong doings. Focus your anger onthe act, not on the man.

Be kind. You do not need to be harsh to correct people. People who always use violence to correct people will be hated. People who do notuse of power properly will be respected out of fear, not feared out of respect.

The Golden Rule. Do not do to others what you don't want them to do to you. A very common saying, but often overlooked. Before doing anything, consider other people. No man is an island. YOU are not an island.

Physical appearance will fade away over time. What you do, however, will stick for ever. What you do and how you interact with people will mostly define what others will perceive of you. It can also affect what happens to you in the future.

Be sensitive. Laughing does not necessarily mean happiness. People can laugh to mask away the pain. In the same way, crying does not necessarily mean sadness. People can cry out of pure joy.

Be careful of what you say. Words can often be twisted to fit what we want to believe.

When I think about it, those who disregard Ethics, Values, or Respect are victims. Victims of their own past, of their own thoughts. They have been constantly haunted by those fears that they were consumed without them realizing. In the end, they have become what they despise the most. Without them realizing, they'll never be able to rebuke themselves.
